Thanks to all the help from the volunteers in getting LaRaza ready for the season the course is now open! The baskets went in this morning. Got your taxes done? Then reward yourself with a round of golf at LaRaza.

Course Workday @ LaRaza

The Friends of Disc Golf @ Hellyer and LaRaza Parks and the Silicon Valley Disc Golf Club will be holding a Course Workday on Saturday April 12th. We will be cleaning up the Tee pads, picking up trash, removing wood debris, mowing, and weed whacking.

We need YOUR help to get the LaRaza Course ready for the season opening on April 15th. Please show your support for LaRaza Disc Golf Course by joining in to help clean up the course and get it ready for its 2nd season.

Saturday April 12th
9:00am – 2:00pm @ LaRaza

Bring your Wheelbarrows, Shovels, Gloves, lawnmowers, weed whackers and a friend.

Lunch will be provided.

LaRaza Opens on April 15th!
We need YOUR help to get the course ready to play.

Winter play continues this month with a spectacular Hellyer tournament! This month’s tourney will include a couple of safari pins on the lake side. Come on out this Saturday, 3/8/08!

Info: Meet at Hellyer, registration is 8:15 to 8:40am
Start time for the morning round is 9:00am.
Lunch break: 30 to 45 minutes
Start time for the afternoon round is 1pm (players mtg around 12:50)

Cost: Open $15, AMs $10
Ace pot is $40.

Because we had so much fun at last months Workday will be holding another Course Workday on Saturday Feb. 23rd. We will be planting 6 new toyons on Hole #2, cleaning up the tee pads, picking up trash and wood debris, mowing, weed whacking, painting the billboard, and improving the trails.We need YOUR help to keep Hellyer Disc Golf Course a great place to play!
