The 2011 Discraft Ace Race @ Hellyer Disc Golf Course

When:
Saturday October 22nd 10:00 am.

Where:
Hellyer Disc Golf Course, San Jose, CA

Format:
Three rounds of 12 holes, one throw per hole per player.

Course layout:
Holes will be setup short. Between 180 and 250 feet.

Entry fee: $25   Pre-Registration is REQUIRED!  Registration Ends October 7th.                                                         

Player package:
Two identical Discraft discs, plus a SuperColor mini and a Discraft Disc Golf bag. A $55 value!

Prize package:
Grand prize for each event is a Discraft merchandise package, including a bag and eight premium discs. Optional Ace Pot for those who wish to participate, which will be divided proportionally among the number of aces.

SVDGC Discussion Forums are moving to the SVDGC.org website

What’s changing?

The club will move away from the Google Group discussion forums and will start utilizing the discussion board on the club website at SVDGC.ORG. Last year Jeff Nyerges and Steve Ganz did an outstanding job of improving the club website and added a much better organized discussion board.  The discussion board on the club website has categories to better segment the discussions and make it much easier to locate the information you’re interested in.

Why are we changing?

Recently Google has announced that the Google Groups forums functionality will be downgraded. The Google Group will no longer support a welcome message and the pages and file features will no longer be supported starting in February.

What improvements can you expect?

• Improved club communications with Main Page for current event information.
• Photo Gallery for sharing your disc golf photos.
• Links to other Disc Golf sites.
• Course Maps for both LaRaza and Hellyer Courses.
• Improved discussion forum with subject categories for easy browsing.

When will the change happen?

• It’s happening Now!  The Google Groups forum is now read only. You can still see old postings but no new postings will be permitted.

What do you need to do?

• Go to the club website at svdgc.org/forums and sign up.
• If your club membership is current your email address is already registered and you can sign up, register your user name and access the forums.
• If you are not a current club member you will need to join the club to access the club forums. While the club website is open to all visitors, the forum section is restricted to club members only.
• If you have problems registering please send a email to support@svdgc.org.
